Steiner Leisure Limited Announces Agreement to Operate a New Luxury Spa at Starwood Luxury Collection – Grand Mauritian Resort and Spa

NASSAU, The Bahamas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Steiner Leisure Limited (NASDAQ:STNR) today announced that its luxury
resort spa division, Mandara Spa, has entered into an agreement with
Starwood Hotels and Resorts Luxury Collection to operate a luxury spa at
the new Grand Mauritian Resort and Spa being built in Mauritius, a
tropical island nation off the east coast of Africa. The term of the
agreement is ten years.
The resort is anticipated to open in the first quarter of 2008.
The elegant facility of approximately 10,000 square feet is located on
the beautiful northwest coast of Mauritius in Balaclava on Turtle Bay.
The resort will be comprised of 193 rooms and the spa will include a
total of 12 treatment rooms and suites, all featuring private gardens.
Additional features of the spa include men's and women's changing
lounges, Razul showers, baths, aroma steam rooms, a relaxation lounge,
spa gardens, a fitness center, a yoga/Pilates studio, a hair and nail
salon and a spa boutique. Five of the guest suites in the hotel will
feature private spa areas with "spa butlers."
